We would like to extend our welcome to you and your guest(s) to our condo. We have included a page on this website with a Google map with directions from Lihue Airport to Poipu (south shore where the condo is located). Lihue is where the Wal-Mart, K-mart, Costco, grocery stores, etc... are located. Lihue is about 15 miles from the condo.
Once you arrive at the condo complex "The Makahuena", turn to the right after entering the parking lot and continue one way and park anywhere along the West Side of the Tennis courts. Our property manager is NOT ON SITE but lives fairly close by. Our on island manager personally will contact our guests prior to arrival via telephone or email. She will arrange for entrance to the unit via our lockbox outside the unit. If you have more than four guests and you are going to utilize the new pull out sofa bed, please let her know so housekeeping can provide linens for the extra bed. If you arrive after hours (i.e. after 5:00 p.m.) please let us know ahead of time. We can make arrangements for you ahead of time and there will be instructions for our unit #1306. Check-In time is 3 p.m. and Check-Out time is 11:00 a.m. Other times may be available if schedule allows, Please ask check with us. Our building is building 1 and our unit will be on the top floor (one full flight of stairs) a little over halfway down towards the ocean. Best parking for our unit is directly West of the tennis court by the covered BBQ pavilion. There is a nice walkway that goes around the BBQ pavilion down the right side of building 1 and the second (or middle) set of stairs will lead you up to our floor and we are the second door to the left of the top of the stairs.
Once inside, you should find everything you need for your stay. If there is anything that you need or having problems with please let us know. We have high speed internet with Wi-Fi and the log in instructions are located on the desk inside the condo. You should have a parking decal in your welcome package on the table in the unit to place in your vehicle at night. There is no charge for parking.
